These terms are the agreement between you and James Jones, trading as MotorSuds. By using the app you agree to them. Please read them alongside our privacy policy.
MotorSuds is a platform that introduces customers to independent car-detailing businesses (“detailers”). The detailer provides the detailing service and is solely responsible for it.
MotorSuds does not carry out detailing itself and is not a party to the contract for the service between you and the detailer. Our role is to help you find a detailer, make a booking, and — where offered — pay for it.
Customers can book as a guest or create an account confirmed by a code we text to your phone. Detailers register with an email and password.
Please keep your details accurate and up to date. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
When you book, you are entering into a contract directly with the detailer for the service. Some detailers approve bookings before they are confirmed.
Prices, services and availability are set by each detailer. We show them as accurately as we can, but the detailer is responsible for their own listings.
Some detailers take payment in the app through Stripe; others arrange payment with you in person. Where you pay online, Stripe processes the payment and the money goes to the detailer. We never store your card details.
MotorSuds does not currently charge detailers a commission on bookings. If this changes, we will update these terms and tell detailers in advance.
You can cancel free of charge up to the point stated on the detailer’s profile. If you paid by card and cancel in time, your payment is refunded automatically (it can take a few days to appear).
A detailer may occasionally have to cancel; where they do, we will let you know and any online payment is refunded. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Only a customer who has had a completed booking can leave a review, and only one per booking. Please be honest and fair. We may remove reviews that are abusive, false, or break the law.
Please don’t misuse the app, break the law, harass others, attempt to interfere with the service, or post content that is unlawful or offensive. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Detailers agree to provide their services with reasonable care and skill, to hold any insurance, licences and registrations appropriate to their business, and to comply with the law — including responsibility for their own tax.
We provide the MotorSuds platform with reasonable care, but “as is”, and we can’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Because the detailer — not MotorSuds — provides the service, we are not responsible for the detailing work itself or for a detailer’s acts or omissions.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited — for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability to you is limited as far as the law allows.
We may update these terms from time to time; if you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
